| I ended up moving to LiveJournal, after all. Cheers!! for those of you who'd like to follow me: http://jubila-en-el.livejournal.com <3 kind of a fresh start, maybe. | | |
| Aight kids. Last Xanga post. Maybe ever... not sure :) | | |
| I've discovered that MySpace gets exponentially more interesting when you have a sweet layout and a good song on your profile. I definitely leave the tab for MySpace open just so I can listen to my profile song, "Here In Your Arms" by hellogoodbye, on repeat. It's also my cell phone ring. I'm not obsessed. Seriously though, it's just such a great feel-good song. I am just learning so much this summer! I love it. I'm feeling like maybe Xanga is winding down though. Hard to say. I'm just getting to the point where I want to be involved in peoples' lives -- really involved, you know? -- and not just updating my blog with information. That keeps people current with me, even while our real connection fades. It would probably be different if we still had a large ring of friends consistently updating Xangas, but if you guys haven't noticed, we're down to only a few survivors. Maybe I'll follow Caitlin to LiveJournal, or construct an independent blog for major events in my life. LiveJournal has a few added benefits of better customization and picture management... we'll see. I'm ready for something more than online. Relationships that go deeper and hit harder. :) Hope you all are doing well. Susan | | |
| I couldn't miss Rockbridge more and I couldn't be more excited to be home. God broke me of so many idols -- blessed me so much -- healed me so much. I think I'm on to something. "Throw off your chains, O captive daughter of Zion!" Will do, Jesus :) | | |
| I think this is a more fitting end note than my last post (although Jason Mraz's lyrics are, per usual, excellent):
1 If you have any
encouragement from being united with Christ, if any comfort from his
love, if any fellowship with the Spirit, if any tenderness and
compassion, 2 then make my joy complete by being like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose. 3 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4 Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others. 5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death— even death on a cross!
